Harry Styles came up with One Direction's awesome name, but it turns out it wasn't Liam Payne's first choice! When trying to come up with a name for the band, Liam had other ideas. "There were some really embarrassing ones that Liam came up with, like USP...Unique Selling Point," Zayn Malik spills. Thankfully, Louis Tomlinson spoke up and said, "That is the WORST! Although to be fair, you have to be brave even to mention it in the first place." We're so glad they went with One Direction!

TWIST recently chatted with singer Jessica Jarrell! Jessica told us about her biggest influences, her future projects and how she got started in the music business! She also talked about her involvement with The Dove Movement for Self-Esteem, a campaign that inspires girls to develop a positive relationship with beauty. Jessica will participate in Dove's 3rd Annual Self-Esteem Weekend in October. TWIST: How did you get involved with The Dove Movement for Self-Esteem?
JJ: I was talking to Dove about a year ago and I brought a song that I had called "Shoot for the Stars" which totally fit the whole movement. Eventually we just decided to work together. I really wanted to do something like the self-esteem movement. I think it's so important to inspire girls and help make a difference in their lives. I'm just really excited to be a part of it!

TWIST: How did you get started in the music business?
JJ: I really started with singing when I was 11. Eventually, I put a video on YouTube of me singing this Beyoncé song. My producer discovered me and I was so surprised that he actually looked at the video! We just started working together and I signed with Island Def Jam and went on tour with Justin Bieber! It just kind of all went up from there!

TWIST: Do you write your own music?
JJ: I do, yeah. I write most of my own music. Some of it I don't, but I like to be involved in the writing process.

TWIST: What is your writing process like?
JJ: When I write, situations or things that happen in my life or my friends' lives really inspire me. I feel like if I can relate to it, it's easy to write. That's where I really pull inspiration for my songs. I always think about what is going to be relatable because most people go through the same types of things in life. It's just things that I go through or things my friends tell me about or things I hear about. That's what I write about.

TWIST: Do you have any musical influences?
JJ: I love Beyoncé! She inspires me musically. I also love Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. I just really like different artists that are doing their thing and are unique in their own way. Lana Del Rey even inspires me. I think she's so unique and special! She does her thing and she doesn't really worry about what other people think.

TWIST: What can our readers expect from you in the future?
JJ: I'm doing a self-esteem weekend with Dove in October. Also, I just did a new photo shoot for Pastry for the back-to-school line. And then my music video for my song "Glow" is coming up!

One Direction is planning to voice cartoon characters! Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson recently viewed The Adventurous Adventures of One Direction, an animated cartoon on YouTube that depicts them as superheroes trying to save the world, and the boys liked it so much they want to get involved themselves! "We loved it and there might be some more cartoons with our voices in the future," Liam Payne spills. So cool!

Taylor Swift and rapper B.o.B. are uniting for the video of "Both of Us." The track is featured on B.o.B.'s album Strange Clouds. The two were spotted shooting the video in Nashville, Tennessee, recording scenes in a field and on the porch of an old house. B.o.B. spilled, "On the set of the ‪#BothOfUs music video in Nashville with @taylorswift13. Video premieres end of June!" Can't wait!

Justin Bieber just treated fans to an awesome free concert in New York City! Justin performed his signature hit "Baby" and songs from his new album Believe on the "Today Show". He even surprised fans with a special guest and brought out rapper Big Sean to help him with "As Long as You Love Me"! After the show, Justin thanked everyone for coming out, tweeting, "@todayshow Thanks for having me and thanks for letting me do some extra songs for the fans. Shoutout to @bigsean for coming thru. #BELIEVE." Watch some of his performance below!

Ariana Grande and Elizabeth Gillies have passed part of their driving tests! The two Victorious stars went to a DMV branch in Los Angeles where they took the written portion, and after the test, the two girls celebrated! Elizabeth spilled, "I now have two permits and no license! For those of you who are confused, I went and passed my written test, I didn't go and fail my driving test : )" Congratulations to both of them!

We just spoke with Cody Longo who stars in the brand new Nickelodeon show Hollywood Heights! The show follows Cody's character, a rock star, as he starts up a relationship with a female fan. TWIST: What can our readers expect from your new show Hollywood Heights?
Cody: Hollywood Heights is an exciting show with unexpected twists and turns. There is a lot of drama and romance which I think viewers will find compelling. Not to mention, being that Hollywood Heights revolves around a music competition, people can expect some amazing performances tied within the show's storyline.

T: Can you tell us about your character Eddie and how you relate to him?
C: Eddie and I are very similar in that family always comes first for the both of us and that our greatest passion in life is to inspire others through our art.

T: How did you become interested in acting?
C: I grew up in a very artistic family, so performing always came naturally. I loved watching movies. Jim Carrey's role in The Mask really inspired me to give acting a shot, as I was drawn to the diversity he brought to the character. It was in high school though when I really got into acting and started performing in local stage productions.

T: Your character Eddie, who is famous, develops a close friendship with Loren, who is a big fan of Eddie's. Would you ever date a fan?
C: Yes, I would date a fan - as long as I'm a fan of hers!

T: What do you look for in a girl?
C: Honesty and truth!! I also look for a girl who I can laugh, cry, sing, and do the "Twist" with. It's also an added bonus if they are cute and can love my dog as well.

T: What is the craziest thing you've ever done for a girl?
C: I rented out an entire bowling alley for a date! I turned off all the lights at the alley and lined our particular lane with candles so she wouldn't get a gutter ball.

T: Why should our readers absolutely turn into Hollywood Heights?
C: I think readers should tune into the show because it has a little bit of something for everyone. Hollywood Heights is different than other shows because it has a very edgy storyline but still stays family-oriented. The writers did a really great job of balancing the two. I also think people will be able to relate to the characters and become invested in their stories.

Gregg Sulkin has just joined the cast of one of our fave summer shows, Pretty Little Liars. Gregg Sulkin had been hinting at his new role, and he finally announced the news via Twitter, spilling, "A bit of News: The show I'm working on is @abcfpll (Pretty Little Liars!) I hope you guys will enjoy my character! Pleasure to be involved in it." His Pretty Little Liars castmate Lucy Hale even tweeted Gregg to welcome him to the cast! OMG, how sweet is that?

TWIST: Tell us about the new season of Pair of Kings!
Kelsey: We've been working really hard since February, coming up with good episodes for you guys. We've got a lot of the same adventures and a lot of new adventures as well, especially with our new cast member, Adam Hicks. We've had so much fun shooting this season with the crazy characters that are on the show. It's just been a really good season.

TWIST: Your character Mikayla ended last season on an interesting note. What can you tell us about her storyline this season?
Kelsey: That's right, a very interesting note. I'm excited that happened! I think at the opening of this season, she's not quite ready for the relationship. I think Brady has a lot of growing up to do. He actually overhears that conversation and so he realizes within himself that he does need to grow up a little bit. From there, there's a huge storm on the island, which brings in the character of Boz, Adam Hicks' character. It's actually a really interesting dynamic because Brady was head over heels for Mikayla, and Mikayla actually reminds Boz of a past girlfriend that broke his heart, so he hates Mikayla! So that was a really fun dynamic that I was happy to play.

TWIST: Totally! How are you similar or different from Mikayla?
Kelsey: We have a lot of similar qualities, especially in this season. She's become more of a friend to the boys, but she's also let out her inner dork. She's a horrible dancer and she's really nerdy. She's been so much fun to play this season, especially because I can identify with the dorky qualities. At the same time though, she's a really tough girl, and she's much cooler than me. I'm lucky to play her for sure.

TWIST: Like you said, Adam Hicks joined the cast this season. What has it been like working with him on set?
Kelsey: It's been great! Adam is such a great guy. He's really sweet, he's a little shy, but he's really funny. Especially going into season three, he's been incredible. I feel like with each episode he just gets funnier and funnier. He's really good at improv and he throws different things at us in takes that are really fun to play against. It's been a really great experience, and we're glad to have him.

TWIST: Do you have any on-set funny moments in particular from filming this season?
Kelsey: I feel like all of our tapings result in funny moments! Just like last night, Adam had to flick boogers on me. Don't worry! Not real boogers! But once again, his improv is great. Sometimes he's flicking them, sometimes he's rubbing them in Mikayla's hair - who knows! With each episode, we have crazy special effects and very abnormal situations, which always brings the funny moments. We've got pranksters in the crew. That always keeps it fun.

TWIST: That does sound fun! How do you balance working on Pair of Kings and going to school at the same time?
Kelsey: It can be a bit challenging. I'm really lucky because Columbia has been very supportive with Pair of Kings. With me going to school in New York, it's really not possible for me to do both at the same time. I take a leave of absence while I'm working and then while I have a space of time free when I can fit in a semester, I go back. With the season's schedule, it's worked out wonderfully. It's fun. It's nice to kind of live both worlds, to live in LA and go back to New York. I really appreciate the opportunity to do both. Of course it's a bit overwhelming sometimes, but I'd never take it back.

TWIST: Do you have a preference? New York or LA?
Kelsey: You know, I got the opportunity to work in New York for a couple weeks, and that was really cool. But I always miss the other. When I'm in New York, I miss LA, and vice versa.

TWIST: Tell us about the new season of Pair of Kings!
Adam: The new season of Pair of Kings is a little different because I've joined the Pair of Kings family. It's great. I didn't know what to expect at first. I was a little nervous. But they've welcomed me with open arms, accepting me. It's good with Doc [Shaw] and I. On Zeke and Luther, it was like Hutch was the straight guy, and I was supposed to bring the comedy. On this show, Doc and I are just wilin' out. We're actually friends on and off set. We're just making this comedy, doing all kinds of wacky, crazy adventures. I think people at home are really going to like it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

TWIST: That's great! Can you tell us about your character?
Adam: I play Boz. He was a king on another island. He's kind of weird. He definitely messes a lot of situations up. He was raised by apes, so he's really into wildlife. He's more civilized now. He's crazy but chill, but still kind of learning the fundamentals of being a civilian.

TWIST: This was your first season on the show. Was it weird for you at all to come into a show where they'd already been filming for two seasons?
Adam: For me, it was weird because I just didn't know what to expect, of course. But everyone was just so open and really happy to make this transition. It made me feel at home. I'm cool with everyone and I became part of the fam.

TWIST: Do you have any funny moments that stand out in your mind from the set?
Adam: I mean, we're cracking jokes all day long. We put all these Barbie posters in Doc's room, just to mess with him. Besides that, on set we're always goofing off.

TWIST: How did he react to the posters?
Adam: He was like, 'Ahhh! Ahh! Ahhhh!' just flipping out in his room. But he's getting me back, supposedly. I'm waiting for it.

TWIST: That's so funny! Do you have any other upcoming projects TWIST readers should know about?
Adam: I did a music video for Disney called "Nonstop Summer." It's going to be awesome. We got to shoot it in Malibu to dubstep music, so check that out! It's new music for Disney, but I know that's what kids my age and kids even younger are listening to. It's going to be awesome. It was loads of fun, and the song turned out really really good.

Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez caught up yesterday over lunch in sunny Malibu, California. The best friends were super excited to see each other and spent the whole time laughing and joking! "When you find that person and you realize you can open up, it's fun," Selena told TWIST about Taylor. They even stopped and posed for pictures with fans! Taylor Swift looked stylish in a vintage pink dress and floral headband and Selena Gomez kept it casual in a loose white T-shirt. We're glad they had such a great time!

Lucy Hale recently spilled all about her debut album - she's going to be singing country music! While that may surprise fans of the Pretty Little Liars star, Lucy said she's actually been into country music her whole life. "I grew up in Tennessee, so that's always been my heart and soul," she revealed. Lucy added that her music will sound like a combination of country stars Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood. "Country music is so heartfelt. I think it's a perfect fit for me. I think it will surprise people." We can't wait!

One Direction's Zayn Malik is considering cutting his hair off! He knows he wants a new hairstyle, but Zayn Malik can't decide if he should cut it short or grow it long, so he's turning to his fans on Twitter for help. "I either wanna cut my hair short (like a buzz cut) or grow it really long. What do you think?" he tweeted yesterday. After hearing fans' opinions, Zayn spilled, "So I just got a great answer!! Grow it out and see what it looks like and then cut it if it's no good? Thanks everyone!" We can't wait to see Zayn's new hairstyle!
