TWIST just chatted with Camryn! Camryn gave us the deets on her new music and the inspiration behind her hit song "Now or Never!" She even spilled about what it was like to tour with Cody Simpson! Check out the exclusive convo and vids below!

XOXO,
TWIST

TWIST: Can you describe your music for our readers who may have never heard your sound before?
Camryn: My sound is pop rock. It's a little different but still a lot of fun.

TWIST: Is there a song of ours that's your favorite?
Camryn: One of my favorite songs is "Let's Go Back," and it's because I can really relate to it. It's about feeling like you've lost someone and wanting to erase everything that's happened and turning back time.

TWIST: Can you tell us the inspiration behind your hit song "Now or Never?"
Camryn: "Now or Never" is a song about forbidden love, it's saying we only have tonight, so let's do this now because we don't know about tomorrow.

TWIST: Are you working on any new music right now?
Camryn: I just recorded a new song called "Make Your Move," and it's really fun! It has a "Now or Never" feel and talks about making the first move.

TWIST: What's your favorite memory from touring with Cody Simpson?
Camryn: The Cody Simpson and Greyson Chance tour was the first tour I had ever done so I was so nervous. Talking to everyone on Cody and Greyson's team was helpful because they'd help me relax and tell me to just have fun.

TWIST: How did you know that music was your thing?
Camryn: I would make up songs when I was really little. I love singing because it's always been my way of expressing myself!

TWIST: What's next for you?
Camryn: I'm pushing my single right now, and you can find lots of my new music at my shows. I'll be performing tons of different music and some awesome covers!

TWIST: Thanks Camryn.
Camryn: Thanks TWIST!

Ryan-Newman-style-tips.jpg

TWIST just chatted with Ryan Newman from Nickelodeon's See Dad Run! On the show Ryan plays the always stylish Emily Hobbs and in real life she's a total budding fashionista too! Ryan spilled her personal style tips and her fave beauty products just for TWIST readers! She even dished on how she accessorizes her own look. Check out the exclusive convo below!

XOXO,
TWIST

TWIST: Can you describe your personal style?
Ryan: I like to mix and match and I love layering. Sometimes I'll dress preppy, other times I'll dress boho and then at times I'll mix them all together. Fashion is a really good way to express yourself and I love to change it up.

TWIST: What are some of your favorite stores to shop at?
Ryan: My favorite stores are Free People, American Eagle and Abercrombie.
I love the clothes in those stores because they have a great mix of everything.

TWIST: Can you share with us how you accessorize your looks?
Ryan: I usually start by over accessorizing and then I'll look in the mirror and start taking things off. For example, I'll put lots of necklaces on and sometimes it's just way too much so I'll take off whatever draws my eye. My mom really helps me decide what works and doesn't work too.

TWIST: Is there a go-to hairstyle that you like to do?
Ryan: Curls are usually my go-to style, especially when I'm running late because my hair is naturally wavy so I'll curl a few pieces and go.

TWIST: What do you think is the biggest mistake girls make style-wise?
Ryan: I think girls' biggest mistakes are either over accessorizing or putting on too much makeup.

TWIST: What's your favorite beauty look right now?
Ryan: My favorite beauty look right now is bright lips for the Fall.

TWIST: What are some beauty products you just can't live without?
Ryan: I love Clinique Chubby Sticks, those are my favorite for lips. I also really like Lancôme mascara and Tarte cheek stains.

TWIST: Do you have any tips on applying makeup?
Ryan: Make sure your foundation is the right match for your skin and once you figure it out always use a sponge to blend. Then look at yourself in natural light and make sure it looks good.

TWIST: What's your favorite winter trend this season?
Ryan: I love the winter because I can layer like crazy, so that's my favorite trend this season.

TWIST: What are the top 3 pieces that you think every girl should have in her closet?
Ryan: Every girl should have a well-fitting leather jacket, a great pair of jeans that they can just put on and feel fabulous in and an awesome pair of boots.

TWIST: What's the best piece of style advice that you've received?
Ryan: The best piece of advice is from Coco Chanel. She says that when you look in the mirror before you leave, take off the one thing that draws your eye so that you shine through your outfit.

TWIST: Is there any more style advice that you can give TWIST readers?
Ryan: I would say to not overdo it. Too much of anything is never good.

TWIST: Thanks Ryan!
Ryan: Thanks TWIST!

Alli-Simpson-Tips-to-De-Stress.jpg

Dealing with stress shouldn't be a thing we need to focus on as teenagers, but I do have days where I get moody. Obviously stress is something you cannot completely get rid of, but the activities below definitely help me feel relaxed. Check out my top ten things to do to de-stress.

1. Take a moment to tune out the world and tune into some slow and relaxing music.

2. Have a girls' night in with a lazy day and night of just doing nothing.

3. Take a nice walk around your neighborhood to get a breath of fresh air!

4. Go for a run or do as many sit-ups or push-ups as you can. You'll feel good afterward.

5. Lay down in bed and picture yourself somewhere beautiful. Take a visual vacation!

6. Talk out your thoughts with someone.

7. Cut back on caffeine, fatty foods, and preservatives/chemicals in foods. It'll make you feel fantastic!

8. Breathe in deep and breathe out slow. Controlling your breathing makes you feel relieved and relaxed.

9. Reading is the perfect way to take your mind off things, so immerse yourself into your favorite book!

10. And my personal favorite stress relief activity: taking a hot bath.

What's your favorite way to de-stress? For more Alli advice, check out allisimpson.com, and for foods that will make you feel good, pick up the December issue of TWIST!
