TWIST recently chatted with British actor and musician Alexander Newton, star of the film Justice/Vengeance! Alexander, who has been called the "next Robert Pattinson," told us about his new film, his favorite musical artists and even spilled some exclusive deets about his upcoming album! Check out our conversation below!
XOXO,
TWIST
TWIST: Can you tell us about your new movie Justice/Vengeance?
AN: Justice/Vengeance is quite an important film because it speaks out against things like racism. My story in the film is kind of like a romance. It's a little bit like Romeo and Juliet because my love interest and I are different religions in the film. Her family doesn't want her to be with me and my family doesn't want me to be with her, but our love is strong, so that doesn't matter to us.
TWIST: Can you tell us a little bit more about your character Joseph?
AN: Joseph is a rebellious guy! He cares about so many things. He cares about his girlfriend and his family. He doesn't see the Nazis as people that are going to take over his country and ruin his entire way of life. He's going to stand up for that!
TWIST: You're also producing your own album right now. How would you describe your music and your sound?
AN: My music is really diverse! I'm writing all types of different songs at the moment. But all of my music is really fun and easy to listen to!
TWIST: Cool! Who are some of your favorite musicians in the business today?
AN: I like a lot of people. I like Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars and The Black Eyed Peas. There are so many great artists out there. I also like Colbie Caillat. I think she's great!
TWIST: What can we expect to see from you in the future?
AN: I'm working on a movie right now that is going to come out next year. We're actually just getting started on it. It's a comedy, so it's going to be really fun! On the music front, I'm working with a lot of other artists and writing songs for them. I'm setting up my studio and just working with some really talented people and it's just really fun!
TWIST: Thanks for chatting with us, Alexander!
AN: Thanks, TWIST!
